Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how HarbourAtlas SpA (“HarbourAtlas”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company established in Chile, collects, uses, stores and protects personal data in connection with our website, client portal and maritime intelligence services.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is HarbourAtlas SpA, Chile. Privacy and data protection enquiries may be sent to [email protected].

2. Personal data we process

• Identity and account data: name, business email address, organization, assigned HarbourAtlas plan and account status.
• Authentication data: information received from an identity provider such as Google or from Cloudflare Access that is necessary to authenticate your identity.
• Security and access data: login timestamps, access events, technical security logs and similar information used to protect the service and investigate suspicious activity.
• Business communications: information you provide when contacting HarbourAtlas, requesting a demonstration, support or commercial information.

3. Google Sign-In data

If you choose to sign in using Google, HarbourAtlas receives only the identity information required to authenticate you, such as your name, email address and basic profile identifier or equivalent identity claims made available through the authentication flow.

HarbourAtlas does not request or use permission to read your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, calendar, photos or other Google service content as part of the HarbourAtlas login process.

Google user data received through authentication is used only to verify your identity, match your email address to an authorized HarbourAtlas customer account, apply the correct access level, protect the service from unauthorized access, and maintain security and audit records.

4. Why we use personal data

• providing and administering HarbourAtlas services;
• authenticating users and managing customer access;
• performing contracts and responding to customer requests;
• maintaining security, preventing fraud and protecting HarbourAtlas systems;
• meeting legal, accounting and compliance obligations; and
• improving service reliability and customer support.

5. How access to HarbourAtlas is managed

Customer access is administered by HarbourAtlas. An authenticated identity does not automatically receive access to HarbourAtlas information. Users must also be authorized by HarbourAtlas for an active customer organization and assigned an applicable access level.

6. Service providers

HarbourAtlas uses trusted technology providers to operate and secure the service. These may include Cloudflare for application delivery, security and authentication infrastructure, Google when a user chooses Google as an identity provider, and other infrastructure, communications or professional service providers that HarbourAtlas may use where necessary to operate the business.

HarbourAtlas does not sell personal data to advertisers.

7. International processing

Some service providers may process or store data outside Chile. Where applicable, HarbourAtlas takes reasonable measures to use reputable providers and appropriate contractual, organizational and technical safeguards for such processing.

8. Data retention

HarbourAtlas retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including the duration of the customer relationship, security and audit requirements, dispute resolution and applicable legal or accounting obligations.

9. Security

HarbourAtlas applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data and customer access, including access controls, authenticated user sessions, server-side authorization, restricted administrative access and security logging.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request information about the personal data HarbourAtlas holds about you and may request access, correction, deletion, blocking, objection or other rights available under applicable data protection law. Requests can be sent to [email protected].

11. Chilean data protection law

HarbourAtlas processes personal data in accordance with applicable Chilean data protection law. As of the effective date of this Policy, Law No. 19,628 remains applicable. Law No. 21,719, which modernizes Chile’s personal data protection framework, enters into force on 1 December 2026. HarbourAtlas may update this Policy and its data protection practices as the new framework becomes applicable.

12. Business customer data

Where HarbourAtlas processes personal data on behalf of a business customer under a separate agreement, that agreement may contain additional or different data protection terms. In case of conflict, the applicable signed agreement will govern to the extent permitted by law.

13. Children

HarbourAtlas is a business-to-business maritime intelligence service and is not directed to children.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, legal obligations or data practices change. The current version will be published at this URL with the date of the latest revision.
